March Meeting Min. pt. 3

*We are in need of people to help with parking cars on June 3rd at around 7:00 pm until the lot is full. Please contact Kathy Mills at ppsajewelry@gmail.com if you can help.

*We are starting to collect donations for Teacher Appreciation week that will be in May. It would be nice if each Pingree family could donate one gift/gift card to be given away that week.

*There will be a Teacher Appreciation lunch on April 22.

*Easter Egg Hunt will be April 1st. A schedule will be sent out to let parent know when their child`s class will be doing the hunt so parents can come to watch if they would like too.

Next PPSA meeting is April 14th at 9:30 am Hope to see you there!"

March Meeting Min. pt.2

*Volunteer lunch at Pingree with be April 14th from 12:30 to 1:30 pm to thank all the volunteers that help Pingree be a successful program!

From Kristie:
*40 new families taken off the waiting list for the 2010/2011 school year. There will be 70 preschool students and 20 in the clinic next school year!

*Applications for preschool scholarships for those families interested in pay preschool spots will go out at the end of March or beginning of April.

*Sib camp is this coming Saturday from 10 until 1:30 pm. Last day to sign up is March 10th.
*Spring Parent Conference will be held March 29th and March 30th. Look for fliers in your child`s backpack.

From Laurel:
*Thank you for all those who help make the Chili Open a success this year! Number amounts made will be known by the next meeting.

*Next big fundraiser will be the Salt Lake Bees Baseball game. Sponserships start at $500.00 for those that are interested. The game will be in July or August. All money raise at this fundraiser comes right back to the school!"

"From Dawn: Carson Smith Scholarship applications are now available on their website. Please print one and turn it in by March 31st so the school can turn them in to the state office. We will find out in July who was approved for the scholarship and how much it will be for. If you currently have the scholarship, your acceptance is good for 3 years before you have to reapply.

*Pingree is still in the process of filling spots for elementary. There will be a total of 80 spots for elementary for the 2010/2011 school year.

*There will be a summer program this year for the month of July. It should be covered by medicare. The cost for students not on Medicare is not yet known. More information will be coming about the summer program later.

*Pingree is considering making a proposal to Rethink Autism. Rethink autism allows parents, educators, and any one else in contact with your child to learn skills on line with video modeling to help your child. It also collects data and helps with making treatment goals. This may be able to help the parents who have children on the waiting list get started with a program at home.
